insulation and a waterproof shell are usually two separate pieces. the _technical anorak is one. a standalone down shell, built for alpine weather and the in-betweens, with nothing to layer over it.

the dimpora® bio shield membrane is waterproof, breathable and windproof, rated >20,000 mm (jis l 1092). its microporous structure blocks wind and weather while letting sweat vapor out. over 60% of the membrane is bio based pa11 from castor oil, made without pfas or solvents.

850 fill rds certified hungarian grey goose down brings warmth without bulk. wear it over a base layer. below freezing, add a mid layer underneath.

staying dry, honestly

the membrane is rated >20,000 mm, but real world dryness comes down to construction as much as the membrane. this is a down shell built to shed weather and work hard across alpine conditions. we'll always tell you exactly what a piece is and isn't.
